Democrats support the movement and encourage everyone to defund the police. Weve seen this outcome in cities like Chicago, where the crime rate soars as police stop putting criminals behind bars. However, the movements founder is putting the Biden administration on blast.
Patrisse Cullors is the movements founder, but she recently stepped down. She came under fire for purchasing several multi-million dollar homes. Coincidentally, the BLM movement received millions of dollars in funding, and most people still dont know where that money went.
Recently, Cullors sat down for an interview with the Guardian. During the interview, she blamed officials for not doing their part. She claims that instead of defunding the police, the Biden administration has given the men in blue more money, even though her movement helped get Biden elected.
According to Patrisse Cullors, the Biden administration is not doing enough to defund the police. The Blaze states, Every year, families, community members, organizers have said this must stop, and theres a different way to do this, Cullors stated. And yet there has been deep cowardice from officials. The burden is on the officials who create the budgets for the police and other resources, who turn away from the violence and continue it in their departments.
She went on to state that its a failure of our elected officials, all the way up to President Biden. She points out that he wants to fund the police. According to Biden, the answer is not to defund the police. Instead, the solution is to give our men in blue the funding they need.
While Im far from a fan of Biden, I agree with him. In cities run by Democrats that have opted to defund the police or stop arrests, weve seen the crime rate soar at an alarming rate. Thats the last thing we need nationwide.
