Vice President JD Vance swiftly exposed and dismissed a left-wing agitator who disrupted a Republican rally in Lakeland, Florida, as law enforcement moved in, took the man to the ground, and placed him under arrest.
The disruptor was identified as Democrat candidate Ben Braver, who is seeking a seat in the Florida House of Representatives, underscoring how deeply partisan theatrics have seeped into local races, according to Gateway Pundit. Vance was appearing alongside Republican gubernatorial candidate Byron Donalds, incumbent Senator candidate Ashley Moody, and several GOP House contenders at the midterm campaign event.
Midway through his remarks, shouting erupted from the crowd, prompting Vance to halt his speech and coolly remark, We got a clown over here, ladies and gentlemen. As officers moved to remove the trespasser, the audience responded with booming USA chants, signaling little patience for leftist disruption.
You know, you always, you always have to laugh at these protesters because that guy, you know, he pretends like he just broke out into an emotional protest, but he made sure to bring his cell phone at the end of a pole, Vance said, highlighting the hecklers selfie stick and the staged nature of the stunt. He then drew a sharp contrast between Florida voters and Democrat operatives, declaring, Ladies and gentlemen, that guy was nothing more, as we know this is not a representative voter from the state of Florida. That guy is a Democrat plant who wants to raise your taxes and release illegal aliens on the streets of Florida. Well, we kicked him out just like were going to kick out the rest of the Democrats who want to do the exact same thing.
Footage from within the crowd showed multiple officers and security personnel struggling to escort the resistant Braver from the venue as Vance continued his remarks from the stage. When the agitator refused to comply, one officer swept his legs out from under him, driving him to the ground and securing him in handcuffs as the rally pressed on with its America-first message.
