Royce White, a former NBA first-round draft pick and outspoken conservative, is escalating his criticism of Rep.
Ilhan Omar by calling for her deportation and turning the line Dont Mogadishu my America into a central campaign slogan for a potential presidential bid.
During a recent appearance on VladTV, White, who ran unsuccessfully in the Minnesota Republican Senate primary this year, framed his comments as part of a broader political platform. According to Gateway Pundit, he was asked directly what he thought of Omar and responded bluntly, I think she should be deported.
White then expanded on that point with the slogan he says will anchor his national ambitions. This is not Mogadishu. Yeah. Thats my campaign pitch for my presidential run. Dont Mogadishu my America.
The former NBA player argued that the United States has become an epicenter for Somalis and said refugees who talk down on this country as though its the worst place possible to live should not remain here. Go back to Somalia, go live in Somalia then, if America is so bad, he said, adding, And its not just Ilhan. Its Ilhan. Its Mamdani. Its Sayed.
White also advanced serious allegations about Omars background and family ties, asserting that her father was a deep state asset connected to a U.S.-backed faction in Somalias civil war. He further repeated long-circulating claims that Omar married her brother to secure immigration status, a charge her defenders have routinely dismissed but which continues to resonate in populist conservative circles.
Those concerns were recently echoed by Department of Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin, who said officials believe she married her brother to try to bring him into the United States and warned that somethings going to happen if investigators can assemble a non-political case. Unfortunately, Omar is a naturalized U.S. citizen, so removing her would require denaturalization for fraud, not a routine deportation.
White later doubled down on social media, posting on X, Ilhan Omar must be deported and its a crying shame this is even controversial. Her father was a war general that led a genocide, she is the fruit of deep state foreign policy. Did she marry her brother? Does she hate this country? What are we doing? Get her ass outta here.
