An illegal immigrant from Honduras, identified as Ersi Zeron and suspected of gang ties, has been taken into custody in the United States after a routine traffic stop exposed a far more serious criminal history.
According to Just The News, Zeron was initially arrested for speeding and driving without a license, but a subsequent review by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) uncovered that he was wanted in Honduras. Agents determined he was sought in connection with his involvement in a 2016 shooting massacre at a billiard hall, raising immediate questions about how such a suspect was able to enter and remain in the country.
Federal records show that Zeron crossed into the U.S. at the Calexico West Port of Entry in September 2022 and was then released into the country by the Biden administration. This case underscores conservative concerns that the current administrations lax border and parole policies are allowing dangerous individuals, including suspected gang members, to slip through the cracks.
