Another central figure in the Jeffrey Epstein scandal has been found dead under circumstances that are already prompting serious questions.
According to the Gateway Pundit, Daniel Siad, a model scout long accused of sourcing young girls for convicted child sex predator Jeffrey Epstein, was discovered deceased in his home in Colombes, France, earlier this week. Marie-Cline Lawrysz, deputy public prosecutor at the Nanterre Judicial Court, publicly confirmed his death on Wednesday, noting that an autopsy has been ordered to determine the cause.
The Nanterre prosecutors office stated, via Mediaite, that An investigation to determine the cause of death was opened on Monday evening following the discovery. Authorities have released no further details, leaving a vacuum of information in a case already steeped in secrecy and institutional failure.
Siads name reportedly appears thousands of times in Department of Justice documents tied to the Epstein investigation. He continued his association with Epstein even after the financiers first conviction in Florida, when Epstein was forced to register as a sex offender yet still managed to retain powerful connections and access.
According to the report, Siads communications with Epstein frequently involved sending photographs and biographical details of young girls he had met and recruited as supposed assistants or other staff. In one 2015 email, Siad sent Epstein a photo of a 16-year-old girl and her friend and Epstein replied that the girls were too old.
In a recent interview with CNNs Katie Polglase, Siad denied any knowledge of Epsteins criminal activities, despite having introduced him to two girls who later accused Epstein of sexual abuse. Siad told CNN, via Mediaite: I trusted him and believed this guy was a professional person. I never heard anything from anyone I introduced to him who came back to me that they had a bad situation. I believed this guy is a professional person.
Siad himself faced multiple accusations from models, including allegations of rape, which he firmly rejected. He told BFMTV in May, I have never raped anyone in my life.
Yet despite his central role in the network surrounding Epstein, Siad was NEVER questioned by investigators before his death. A former model who gave a deposition in June as part of the investigation told the BBC, via Mediaite: An important link in the chain has just vanished into thin air, without there even having been a chance to recover the information Daniel Siad might have possessed given that he was never questioned.
Epstein died in 2019 of what authorities labeled an apparent suicide while he was facing sex trafficking charges, a determination that has fueled years of skepticism among conservatives and others who distrust the political and institutional elites tied to his circle. Now, with another man whose name is deeply embedded in the Epstein files dead before he could be placed under oath, public confidence in the willingness of Western authorities to fully expose this network wherever it leads, and whomever it implicates is likely to erode even further.
