Trump Drops Bombshell Embargo Order On Spain After Shocking Iran-Aligned Snub

Spains left-wing government, already notorious for its hostility toward traditional Western allies, has now aligned itself with Iran against the United States and Israeland Washington is responding in kind.

According to the Gateway Pundit, Spain recently refused to allow the United States to use its military bases for operations against Iran, a move that has drawn sharp criticism from conservatives who see it as a betrayal of NATO solidarity and Western security interests. As The Daily Mail reported, Spains far-left, open-borders Prime Minister Pedro Snchez condemned the joint U.S.-Israeli strike that eliminated Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, choosing to side rhetorically with Tehran rather than with democratic allies.

Snchez declared that his government rejected the unilateral military action by the United States and Israel, which represents an escalation and contributes to a more uncertain and hostile international order. That statement underscored a broader ideological divide, as Madrids socialist leadership continues to embrace globalist and anti-American positions at odds with the priorities of many NATO partners.

President Trump, signaling that such defiance would not go unanswered, announced from the Oval Office that he had instructed Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to sever trade ties with Spain. Spain has been terrible. In fact, I told Scott to cut off all dealings with Spain, Trump said. Spain actually said that we cant use their bases. And thats all right. We could use their base if we want. We could just fly in and use it.

Nobodys going to tell us not to use it, he added. We dont have to. Trump further emphasized that the economic pain would fall squarely on Madrid, not Washington, underscoring Americas leverage in the relationship.

Spain has absolutely nothing that we need, Trump added. Were gonna cut off all trade with Spain. We dont want anything to do with Spain. As Bessent noted, the Supreme Court has ruled that Trump has the authority to implement an embargo, raising the prospect of a full-scale economic freeze and even renewed debate over whether a NATO member that refuses to meet its obligationsand sides with Iranstill deserves the protection and privileges of the alliance.
