Jack Smith Starts Law Firm With The Same Team That Targeted Trump!

Special Counsel Jack Smith is reportedly establishing a new law firm alongside attorneys who have previously collaborated with him in legal actions against President Donald Trump.

This development, as highlighted by various reports, marks a significant move in the legal landscape surrounding high-profile political cases.

According to the Daily Caller, the firm will feature former prosecutors Thomas Windom and David Harbach, in addition to Timothy Heaphy, who previously served as a chief investigator for the House January 6 committee. The New York Times initially reported on this formation. Windom played a pivotal role in prosecuting the 2020 election case against President Trump, while Harbach was involved in the classified documents case. Bloomberg Law notes that the firm's focus will be on trial work and investigations.

In a related development, two other prominent prosecutors from Smith's team, Molly Gaston and J.P. Cooney, launched their own firm in October. Their practice is dedicated to assisting state and local governments in enforcing "public corruption" laws, providing criminal defense, and supporting clients entangled in congressional investigations, as detailed on their website.

The legal maneuvers of Smith and his associates have not gone unnoticed by Republican lawmakers. Both Smith and Windom are under scrutiny from Republican members of Congress, who are investigating the Arctic Frost inquiry that culminated in President Trump's indictment.

The House Judiciary Committee Republicans have issued a subpoena for Smith to deliver closed-door testimony on December 17. Meanwhile, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley has announced plans to conduct hearings in 2026 concerning Arctic Frost.

Grassley expressed his concerns, stating, "Arctic Frost was a runaway train that swept up information from hundreds of innocent people simply because of their political affiliation. Congress and the American people want answers, and sunshine is the best disinfectant."

He emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability, asserting that the Senate Judiciary Committee's investigation aims to uncover the truth and prevent future politically motivated investigations.

In a further twist, House Republicans have referred Windom to the Department of Justice for prosecution, alleging that he obstructed the committee's investigation into Smith's office. During his deposition with the committee, Windom reportedly declined to answer most questions, raising additional concerns about the conduct of those involved in these high-stakes legal proceedings.
