Comedian Jeff Dye has joined the growing list of Hollywood figures opting to leave California, citing dissatisfaction with the state's Democratic leadership.

Dye's decision to relocate to Texas was revealed during his appearance on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, where he expressed concern over the policies of California's Governor, Gavin Newsom.

"I'm kind of in this kind of LA thing, and I could be guilty of being a victim of what I'm absorbing in my algorithm. But Gavin Newsom scares the shit out of me and I don't want to be a part of it," Dye stated. His apprehension is shared by many who feel that the state's governance under Newsom has been detrimental, prompting a wave of departures from the Golden State.

According to Breitbart, Dye also pointed to the inadequate response to the Pacific Palisades fire as a significant factor in his decision. "Those fires were quite a wake-up call," he remarked, highlighting the alarming handling of the situation. Despite the fire occurring in January, Bloomberg reported that less than ten percent of affected homeowners have received permits to rebuild, underscoring bureaucratic inefficiencies.

Dye didn't shy away from critiquing Hollywood's liberal elite, particularly those who vowed to leave the U.S. if President Donald Trump were to win another term. "They go, 'I'm going to move.' They make those kind of threats," Dye scoffed. He did, however, acknowledge the sincerity of figures like Rosie O'Donnell and Ellen DeGeneres, who followed through on their promises by relocating to Ireland and England, respectively.

Dye noted the potential loss of voting rights for those renouncing citizenship but commended their actions, saying, "But at least they left. Hundreds of celebrities said they would leave and didn't."

The exodus from California is not an isolated incident but part of a broader trend among entertainers seeking refuge from what they perceive as a deteriorating environment. Notable figures such as Mark Wahlberg, Sylvester Stallone, and Sheryl Crow have already made the move, with Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes recently joining the ranks by settling in the U.K. George Clooney also opted for a more tranquil lifestyle, relocating his family to a farm in France.

Meanwhile, Kaley Cuoco purchased a ranch in Thousand Oaks, California, signaling a desire for a quieter existence away from the Hollywood hustle.

The migration of celebrities away from California reflects a broader sentiment of discontent with the state's current trajectory. As more individuals seek stability and governance that aligns with their values, the trend of leaving California for more conservative or less chaotic environments is likely to continue.
