The Post Millennial posts disturbing news about a trans teacher in Florida threatening to shoot students.
The Florida Department of Education released a statement in response involving a Hernando County school and inappropriate comments made to students by a trans teacher.
The Friday statement explains, Earlier this week, the Department was informed of a situation regarding student safety at a school in Hernando County.
The statement continues, Upon the Department bringing the concern to the Superintendent on Wednesday evening, only then did the District remove the teacher from school, effective yesterday, Thursday, April 13. Therefore, the teacher is no longer at the school.
Fox 13 was contacted by multiple parents concerned about the situation. They said they had encountered several similar situations involving a teacher who allegedly made disturbing remarks about harming the students and themselves.
The school District stated the comments by the teacher were made due to frustration with student behavior in the classroom. The school District refused to share what the remarks consisted of, which led to tensions between parents and the school board.
On March 24, the incident was reported by Guidance Counselor Kimberly Walby and Assistant Principal Kerry Thornton to a school resource officer for an investigation into the matter. The report claimed a teacher had threatened to harm themselves and possibly shoot students.
Moms for Liberty Hernando Country obtained a report stating Assistant Principal Thornton had visited Ashlee Renczkowskis classroom to inquire about her well-being. Renczkowski replied, Not good, and said she was having evil thoughts.
The report explains that Walby was alerted, and Renczkowski came to her office. The teacher told Walby she had found a social media post that had derogatory comments about her sexual orientation and her wife, who was also a teacher.
The teacher was forthcoming with her feelings, stating she was prone to suicidal thoughts and had three guns in her home.
