FBI Director Christopher Wray recently testified before the House Judiciary Committee concerning the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump.
The hearing saw GOP Congressman Chip Roy of Texas probing Wray on the reactions of FBI agents to the failed assassination attempt.
Roy referenced infamous text messages from 2015 and 2016, where top FBI officials discussed "their insurance policy to make sure Trump was never elected or inaugurated as president." The texts were exchanged between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok. Roy then questioned Wray, "Have any FBI agents texted, emailed or expressed disappointment that Trump survived the assassination attempt or otherwise editorialized about the assassination attempt?"
According to Gateway Pundit, Wray confirmed that at least one FBI official had indeed expressed disappointment that the assassination attempt on Trump was unsuccessful. "That individual has been referred to our inspection division," Wray stated, indicating that the matter was being internally investigated.
The FBI official in question is Jenna Howell. Howell reportedly posted a meme featuring a picture of Trump and the grim reaper, captioned, "Awww so close." This raises serious concerns about the impartiality and professionalism of the FBI, given that such a post seems to express regret over the failed assassination attempt.
The question that remains unanswered is why Jenna Howell has not been dismissed from her position. Her actions appear to be in stark contrast to the values of impartiality and respect for the office of the President, which are expected of all FBI officials. The lack of immediate action against Howell raises questions about the FBI's commitment to these values.
