Vice President Harris recently urged American citizens to ensure their voter registration is in order before the upcoming Election Day.
This call to action was made during her guest appearance on the popular television show, RuPauls Drag Race All Stars.
According to The Hill, Harris emphasized the importance of individual rights and freedoms, which she believes are currently under threat. "Each day, we are seeing our rights and freedoms under attack, including the right of everyone to be who they are, love who they love, openly and with pride, she stated. Harris further encouraged unity in the face of these perceived attacks, saying, So as we fight back against these attacks, lets all remember, no one is alone.
Harris, who has emerged as the likely Democratic presidential nominee following President Biden's withdrawal from the race, stressed the power of the vote. We are all in this together and your vote is your power, she declared. She then urged viewers to register to vote at vote.gov.
Harris's appearance on the drag performance competition show follows a letter endorsing her White House bid, signed by over 1,000 LGBTQ political leaders, celebrities, and social media influencers. This is not the first time a political figure has appeared on the show hosted by RuPaul Charles. Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have also made appearances, with Pelosi echoing Harris's sentiments on the importance of voting, stating, Its very important for people to make their voices and their vote heard.
While Harris's call to action may resonate with some, it is important to remember the conservative perspective that emphasizes individual freedom, limited government, and traditional values. The power of the vote is indeed crucial, but so is the need for a balanced and fair representation of all viewpoints in the political arena.
