The wife of a late volunteer fire chief, who tragically lost his life at a political rally over the weekend, has declined a condolence call from President Joe Biden, as reported by the New York Post.

Helen Comperatore, the grieving widow of Corey Comperatore, a dedicated volunteer firefighter and father of two, revealed her decision to the New York Post. Her husband, a staunch Republican, was fatally shot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, which he attended with his family. According to the Daily Caller, Helen stated, I didnt talk to Biden. I didnt want to talk to him. My husband was a devout Republican and he would not have wanted me to talk to him.

The rally, held in support of former President Donald Trump, took a tragic turn when a young man allegedly opened fire on the crowd. The incident resulted in the death of Corey Comperatore and injuries to two other attendees, including Trump himself.

Despite her refusal to engage with Biden, Helen clarified that she harbors no resentment towards the President. I dont have any ill will towards Joe Biden. Im not one of those people that gets involved in politics. I support Trump. Thats who Im voting for, but I dont have ill will towards Biden, she explained. He didnt do anything bad to my husband. A 20-year-old despicable kid did.

The alleged shooter, identified as 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks, has since been apprehended. As the investigation continues, the community mourns the loss of a dedicated public servant, while the political landscape grapples with the implications of this violent act.
