Prominent media figure Tucker Carlson is set to grace the stage at the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Monday, joining a roster of other high-profile personalities scheduled to appear at the event.

As reported by The Post Millennial, the Iowa Capital Dispatch has revealed that Carlson, alongside former Utah Congressman Jason Chaffetz and others, will be addressing the convention on Monday. The political world is abuzz with speculation that President Donald Trump will unveil his Vice Presidential pick by Monday, with the chosen candidate slated to speak on Tuesday. Potential VP candidates include North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum and Florida Senator Marco Rubio, among others.

Carlson, a Trinity College alumnus of 1991, has carved out a successful career in journalism. He climbed the professional ladder to host his own broadcast show, Tucker Carlson Tonight, on Fox News in 2016. After parting ways with the network in 2023, he established his own media platform, the Tucker Carlson Network.

The RNC, scheduled for July 15-18, is anticipated to officially nominate Trump as the Republican candidate for the upcoming November general election. The Republican National Committee has already embraced a Trump-endorsed Republican Party platform in preparation for the event. This platform champions issues such as national border security, energy independence, and tax cuts for the average worker.

The GOP's platform is grounded in what it terms "common sense" policy measures. The document asserts, "We will be a Nation based on Truth, Justice, and Common Sense. Common Sense tells us clearly, in President Trumps words, that 'If we dont have a Border, we dont have a Country.' Restoring sensible Border Security and Immigration Policy requires many steps, all of which would have been and indeed were taken for granted by prior Generations as obviously necessary and good."

This statement underscores the party's commitment to traditional values and limited government, key tenets of conservative ideology.
