Former mixed martial arts (MMA) professional, Andrew Osborne, 35, has confessed to the brutal murder of Brian A. Wilkinson in an Atlantic City hotel room in 2022.

The Atlantic County Prosecutors Office confirmed that Osborne pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter related to the incident that occurred on September 23, 2022.

Osborne revealed to authorities that he had fatally stabbed Wilkinson, 47, in the head and neck in his room at the Ocean Casino Resort. Following the gruesome act, Osborne left the crime scene dressed in the victim's clothes, according to court documents cited by NJ Advance Media.

On the day of the murder, Wilkinson's room door was opened from the inside around 6:57 a.m., with the deadbolt engaged to prevent it from closing. Surveillance footage captured Osborne in a nearby elevator at approximately 7:09 a.m., later exiting on Wilkinson's floor. The door to Wilkinson's room closed around 7:11 a.m. and remained shut until 7:30 a.m., as reported by NJ Advance Media.

Osborne, a Philadelphia resident, was subsequently seen returning to the elevator with a black plastic bag. He entered his room, located on a different floor, around 7:35 a.m. Less than half an hour later, Osborne and his unidentified wife were spotted on the hotel's security cameras in the parking garage.

Wilkinson's lifeless body was discovered later that day, around 1:30 p.m. The couple then fled to Philadelphia, where Osborne was apprehended three days later as he was leaving his home, according to NJ Advance Media.

KYW Radio reported that Osborne had a professional MMA career from January 2012 to October 2013, with a record of one win and two losses. He is scheduled for sentencing on August 22 before Judge Bernard E. DeLury Jr. and could face up to 25 years in state prison.
