There Was ONE Topic That Was OFF Limits At The Tom Brady Roast, What Was It, You Ask?

The Netflix is a Joke Festival, a comedic extravaganza held in Los Angeles from May 2-12, recently featured a comedy roast of Tom Brady, the legendary NFL quarterback.

The event, aptly named "Greatest Roast of All Time," was streamed live on Netflix on May 5 from the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California, and is now available for viewing on the streaming platform.

The roast saw Brady at the receiving end of humorous jabs from a lineup of former NFL players, including Randy Moss, Julian Edelman, and Drew Bledsoe. Comedians Nikki Glaser, Sam Jay, Jeff Ross, and Andrew Schulz also took their turns roasting Brady, with Kevin Hart serving as the host.

The comedians did not shy away from addressing the controversies that have surrounded Brady throughout his career. These included the notorious "Deflategate" scandal, his divorce from ex-wife Gisele Bndchen, and the numerous allegations of cheating during his tenure with the New England Patriots. Jokes were also made about his illustrious career, with some even involving former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick.

However, there was one topic that was deemed off-limits by Brady: jokes about Patriots owner Robert Kraft. This was revealed by comedian Andrew Schulz, who was part of the panel of roasters. Schulz shared on his "Flagrant 2 Podcast" that Brady had explicitly requested that jokes about Kraft be avoided.

Schulz's revelation came in the wake of an incident involving fellow roaster Jeff Ross. Ross had made a joke about Brady's first meeting with Kraft after being drafted by the Patriots, ending with a quip, "Would you like a massage?" This was a reference to a 2019 incident where Kraft was charged with first-degree misdemeanor for soliciting prostitution at a day spa. The charges were later dropped after it was discovered that secret cameras had been installed in the spa.

Brady's reaction to Ross's joke was swift and stern. He approached Ross and said, "Don't say that s*** again." According to Schulz, this was a genuine reaction from Brady, who had made it clear that jokes about Kraft were not to be tolerated.

"I think it was real [Brady's comment to Ross] because they told us no jokes about happy endings with Bob Kraft," Schulz said, "because I had a Bob Kraft tag... Tom asked us not to do anything with the massage jokes, and I was like, alright, cool."

Despite the off-limits topic, the roast was a success and has remained at the top of Netflix charts since its debut. The incident serves as a reminder that even in the world of comedy roasts, there are boundaries that are to be respected.
