Creepy AND Illegal: Quiet Washington State Neighborhood Being Watched By Hidden Cameras

Fox News reports that several hidden cameras were spotted at an area where children get on to the local school buses.

David Springgay, a resident of the Union Hill neighborhood in Redmond, spoke with Fox 13 Seattle and said that his 11-year-old son found two hidden cameras near his bus stop on February 1st.

Springgay went around to the neighbors in the area and asked if any of them were the owners of the camera. None of the neighbors claimed ownership, so Springgay decided to download the data from the cameras.

He said, You could see in the images that there was my teenage daughter, and You saw my kids, my elementary-aged kids come and be down there and wait for the bus.

A second camera was found just down the road from the first one. It was only a few yards from the first one, and it had some foliage hot glued to it in an apparent attempt to disguise the camera from being easily spotted.

Fox News reports that the second camera was not pointed at the bus stop. Instead, it was pointed at a driveway of someones property. Both cameras seeming captured footage of the person that set up those cameras. However, the figure was impossible to make out.

Springgay said: He was doing it at 3 in the morning, so its a black-and-white, grainy picture,

Springgay turned the camera in at the King County Sheriffs Office, and theyre not currently treating it as a criminal situation. They say there is currently no crime to investigate, but they can potentially change that designation later.

Once a crime is committed, then they can use it as a reason to get the records from the company that manufactures the camera, said Springgay.

He continued to say he is highly concerned about whoever is trying to keep an eye on his neighborhood. He strongly feels something is wrong with how these cameras were set up and why they have been permitted in the area. He certainly wants to see this put to a stop and calls on local law enforcement to assist.
