A leaked e-mail from Project Veritas reveals that the company is begging donors not to leave them after they kicked James OKeefe out of the company he founded.
The Gateway Pundit reports that Project Veritas has lost hundreds of thousands of followers on social media since they moved to kick OKeefe out of the company.
The e-mail from the company read in part: We hope that you might continue to give us a chance, and We cant stress how separate the boards role is from daily operations here at PV. We are still grinding and pursuing stories of great public importance. The e-mail was obtained and reported on by Jack Posobiec.
The e-mail continued: We understand and share your frustrations, and We all love and respect James and hope he returns. This is difficult for everyone.
The e-mail also left it up about precisely what happened with OKeefe. It stated that he did not resign, and the board did not fire him. It claimed he had been placed on temporary suspension until the audit was completed about allegations that he was using donations for private benefit.
The e-mail reads: The board placed him on a temporary suspension until the audit was completed, and The board wanted him to delegate management of staff to the department heads so he can focus his true talent, efforts, and best use of his time on the journalism/stories and less on the day-to-day personnel management.
The e-mail continued to rehash that OKeefe is loved and respected in the organization. However, it seems to go back and forth as the e-mail insisted that Project Veritas would need to complete its investigation, but then it would talk about how loved OKeefe is within the organization. This back and forth has left many longtime company supporters confused and scratching their heads about what they should believe about all of this. The confusion and frustration are understandable.
OKeefe stated on February 10th that he had been stripped of his powers as CEO. He also stated he was suspended from the board of directors in a meeting.
OKeefe appears ready to continue fighting for his position at the company he founded. He will keep after this tooth and nail until he is restored to the position he created in the first place. Amazingly, the board believes it has the authority to keep him out, but here we are.
