Former President Donald Trump took a break from his campaign activities on Sunday to express his gratitude to first responders.
He visited the Waukee Fire Department in Iowa, where he personally delivered pizzas to the firefighters. A video posted on X captured the moment, showing Trump carrying a stack of pizzas and shaking hands with the firefighters as he handed them out.
Earlier in the day, Trump was seen picking up the pizzas from Casey's in Indianola, accompanied by North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum, who had recently endorsed the former president. At the pizza shop, Trump took a moment to address his team, expressing his appreciation for Governor Burgum's endorsement. He described it as an honor and praised the governor and his family, stating, "You have been a great governor, I will tell ya." Trump also expressed his confidence in the upcoming election, saying, "As you can see, there has been tremendous enthusiasm. I think we will do very well tomorrow despite the weather."
Prior to their pizza stop, Governor Burgum made a significant announcement during a speech, endorsing former President Trump for the 2024 election. He highlighted the safety and prosperity America experienced under Trump's leadership and urged the caucus-goers to send a powerful message to the nation and the world by supporting Trump's candidacy. "Donald J. Trump will make America great again," Burgum declared.
