RFK Jr. Sounds LOUD Alarm: Democracy At Risk As Courts Block Trump From 2024 Ballot

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., the independent presidential candidate for the 2024 election, has expressed grave concerns following the Colorado Supreme Court's decision to exclude former President Trump from the ballot due to the events of January 6.

Kennedy, who initially challenged President Biden in the Democratic primary in April before shifting to an independent bid in October, voiced his apprehensions on X. He warned, "If Trump is kept out of office through judicial fiat rather than being defeated in a fair election, his supporters will never accept the result. This country will become ungovernable."

Kennedy emphasized the importance of democratic principles, stating, "Its time to trust the voters. It is up to the people to decide who the best candidate is. Not the courts. The people. Thats Democracy 101." He further argued that any candidate's right to run is synonymous with the American people's right to choose.

In response to the 4-3 Colorado decision that deemed Trump ineligible for the presidency under the U.S. Constitutions insurrection clause, Kennedy called for an immediate reversal. He expressed that this decision "contributes to the perception that the elites are picking the President by manipulating the legal system, and through other interventions."

Kennedy expressed his disquiet over the Colorado Supreme Court's decision in a post on X, stating, "Every American should be troubled by the Colorado Supreme Courts decision to remove President Trump from the ballot." He criticized the court for depriving Trump of a significant right without a conviction or an evidentiary hearing.

In a previous thread, Kennedy drew parallels between the Colorado Supreme Court's actions and those of foreign governments that the U.S. would typically condemn. He stated, "When a court in another country disqualifies an opposition candidate from running, we say, Thats not a real democracy. Now its happening here."

Kennedy clarified that he is not a Trump supporter but believes in fair competition. He stated, "I want to beat him in a fair election, not because he was kicked off the ballot. Let the voters choose, not the courts!"

Mark Gorton and Tony Lyons, co-founders of Americas Voice 2024, a super PAC supporting Kennedys 2024 presidential campaign, spoke to Fox News Digital. They drew parallels between the Colorado Trump ruling and efforts to censor Kennedy and block him from the Democratic ticket.

Lyons described the tactics used by the DNC to keep Kennedy off the ballot as similar to those used against him during his campaign in New Hampshire. He stated, "They're going to do everything in their power to keep Bobby Kennedy off the ballot because they don't want him on the stage with Joe Biden. And the RNC doesn't want Bobby on the stage with Donald Trump because he has better ideas, better arguments and better policies."

Lyons criticized these tactics as a means to avoid dialogue and debate, disenfranchise the American public, and undermine hard-won voting rights. He commended Kennedy for standing up for the rights of even an opponent when he believes the actions taken are unjust and unconstitutional.

Gorton, while acknowledging that Kennedy is not a Trump supporter, described him as "a man of principle" working against the "dirty games" of the political establishment.

He criticized the DNC for their attempts to manipulate the system and censor people, stating, "The DNC its amazing because they run around and are constantly talking about threats to democracy. Yet they're the ones who are saying the American people shouldn't get a choice and they're manipulating the system and they're censoring people."
