Former Secretary Of State Mike Pompeo Issues Dire Warning: American Lives At Risk As Biden's Iran Approach Faces Critique

In a scathing critique of the Biden administration, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned of potential American casualties if the current government continues its current approach towards Iran.

He made these remarks on Wednesday, in response to the administration's recent actions, which he perceives as insufficiently forceful.

According to ABC News, U.S. bases in Iraq and Syria have been targeted in at least 66 attacks by Iranian-backed militias. These attacks have employed a range of weapons, including drones, rockets, and even ballistic missiles. In retaliation, American forces executed multiple strikes on Wednesday, with a Lockheed AC-130 gunship eliminating several militants implicated in a ballistic missile attack.

Pompeo, speaking to "America's Newsroom" co-host Dana Perino, emphasized the need for pressure on Iran's regime, rather than its "knucklehead proxies" in Iraq. He stated, "So long as the Iranians continue to attack America we have to put pressure on the regime, not on its knucklehead proxies sitting in Iraq, but on the regime itself."

Pompeo further warned of the potential consequences of the proposed ceasefire deal. He said, "This is an important point, so there will be if this deal moves forward, there will be a ceasefire, a pause, a truce, call it whatever you will. Therell be moments where there wont be Israeli attacks into Gaza. But the Iranians arent going to stop their efforts all across the world."

The Biden administration has faced criticism for easing sanctions on Iran, which has allowed the country to increase its oil exports. Other controversial moves include permitting Iraq to purchase electricity from Iran and arranging for South Korea to release $6 billion from Iranian oil exports for humanitarian purposes. These actions were part of a deal to secure the release of five detained Americans.

Pompeo expressed his concern that these attacks on Americans will persist until the administration acknowledges the Iranian-backed nature of these attacks. He said, "We will get Americans killed if this administration refuses to put pressure on the regime itself. If we just try to respond by firing missiles in the night into empty warehouses that will not stop the attacks on Americans from Iran."

The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that the White House did not immediately respond to a request for comment on Pompeo's remarks.
