WATCH: Florida Passes THIS New Bill To Deal With The Migrant Influx

Fox 13 reports that the Florida House of Representatives has passed legislation that is now headed to Governor Ron DeSantis desk for approval.

This legislation would allow the state to pick up and transport illegal migrants and send them out of the state. Governor DeSantis supports the bill, and it is expected that he will sign the legislation.

Members of the Florida House debated the bill and passed it by a vote of 77-34. This proposal would create the Unauthorized Alien Transport Program, which would make it easier for the state to move migrants out of the state when they are found to have entered the Sunshine state illegally.

This measure will clean up a similar bill passed by the legislature and signed by DeSantis. The first piece of legislation has met several legal challenges, and this newest legislation will help clean up some of the things opponents have challenged about the first piece of legislation.

State Sen. Blaise Ingoglia (R- Spring Hill) spoke about the migrant crisis in Florida and beyond and said: The federal government has not only failed but refused to take any action to deal with the over 200% increase in encounters at the border, and In fact, this administration has taken steps to make the problem worse. The state of Florida is not, and never will be, a sanctuary state. Its time for those sanctuary cities to put their money where their mouth is.

Democrats oppose the measure and say it is nothing more than using human beings and political pawns in a game.

State Rep. Dotie Joseph (D-North Miami) said: What we are seeing with most of our Republican colleagues is that they dont really care about accountability, and They want to give the governor a carte blanche to do whatever it is that he wants to do, regardless of legality, constitutionality or otherwise.

However, the argument that Republicans dont want to take accountability is laughable. The fact is, Republicans are the ones recommending that something be done to control the immigration situation in Florida. Democrats have tried to ignore the problem or even encourage it. Thus, complaints from Democrats about a lack of accountability should fall on deaf ears. Republicans are finally doing something about the issue, and Democrats want to complain about the solutions.
