In a recent interview with The Guardian, renowned singer Cher expressed her intention to exit the United States if former President Donald Trump triumphs over President Biden in the forthcoming election.

"I almost got an ulcer the last time," she confessed. "If he gets in, who knows? This time I will leave [the United States]."

Cher, famed for her hit "Believe," has consistently voiced her disapproval of the former president and current Republican front-runner. In a tweet dating back to June 2015, she humorously pledged to depart Earth if Trump secured a first term. "IF HE WERE TO BE ELECTED, I'M MOVING TO JUPITER," she declared. This sentiment echoed the pledges of numerous celebrities, including Miley Cyrus, Snoop Dogg, and Chelsea Handler, who also promised to relocate if Trump ascended to the presidency.

Trump emerged victorious over Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in 2016. Following his defeat to Biden in 2020, he is now striving to become only the second president in U.S. history to win non-consecutive terms.

Interestingly, the majority of celebrities who pledged to relocate following Trump's initial victory did not fulfill their promises, including Cher, who has continued to be a vocal critic of Trump. In a separate tweet from July 2016, she lambasted him as a "f---ing traitor." She also criticized him during a special mention at VH1s "Trailblazer Honors" in 2019.

"When I see Trump spew his hatred and tell his gazillion lies, I get pissed off, but I also feel really uneasy. Then I see [California Rep.] Nancy [Pelosi] come on TV and I think, Its all good, Nancy is in the House,'" she stated.

Trump maintains a substantial and steady lead in the polls over his Republican competitors. A recent Fox News poll suggests his support among Republican primary voters is approximately 60%, with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis trailing in second place at 13% and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley at 10%.
