Elon Musk, the billionaire business magnate, recently expressed his observation on the innate human need for religion.
In a post on X, Musk stated, "There seems to be an innate need for religion. Many atheists simply adopt another belief system (eg wokeness) that is essentially a religion."
Auron MacIntyre, a commentator from BlazeTV, responded to Musk's remarks, emphasizing that the religious compulsion is not a peculiar quirk of human development. MacIntyre wrote, "You were designed for a relationship with the divine, and those who ignore that destroy themselves and others around them."
Supporting Musk's statement, another individual pointed out, "All know there is a God, whether they acknowledge him or not. Romans 1-2."
Curiously, another person added, "He is correct. It seems to be built into humanswonder why," concluding their comment with a winking emoji.
Several individuals echoed the sentiment that denying the need for a relationship with God leads humans to worship themselves, other humans, or institutions, with the State being chief among them. One person wrote, "We were created to worship God and have a personal relationship with him. When humans deny this, it leads them to put their worship into themselves, or other humans, or institutions. (Chief among them the State.)"
Musk has been a vocal critic of wokeness, describing it as fundamentally anti-human in a recent post. He stated, "Woke is fundamentally anti-human." Last year, in a tweet, he emphasized the significance of defeating the "woke mind virus," asserting that its defeat is paramount.
During an interview with the Babylon Bee in 2021, Musk further criticized wokeness, labeling it as "divisive," "exclusionary," and "hateful." His stance against wokeness aligns with his belief in the innate need for religion and the potential dangers of adopting alternative belief systems.
