Close Biden Family Associate Embedded In Hunter's Investigation - New Emails Expose Alarming Connections

In a recent revelation, it has emerged that the prosecutor involved in the criminal investigation of Hunter Biden's alleged illicit foreign business transactions with Ukrainian energy firm Burisma is a close associate of the Biden family.

Alexander Mackler, who previously served as legal counsel to Joe Biden during his tenure as Vice President under Barack Obama, was employed in the Delaware US Attorney's office during the initial stages of Hunter Biden's criminal investigation, as reported by the Washington Examiner.

The connection between Mackler and the Biden family was brought to light when James Comer, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, requested the National Archives to release unredacted emails related to Hunter Biden's foreign business activities.

An email dated December 8, 2015, disclosed a conversation between Mackler and Joe Biden's then-Communications Director, Kate Bedingfield, discussing a New York Times article that painted Hunter Biden's business relationship with Burisma in a negative light.

Prior to the publication of the New York Times article, Mackler was included in discussions on how to respond to the allegations, according to the emails obtained by the House Oversight Committee. Further emails from December 2015 show that Bedingfield collaborated with Eric Schwerin, one of Hunter Biden's closest business associates, to formulate a response from Joe Biden's office to reporters inquiring about Hunter's relationship with Burisma.

During a court hearing earlier this year, Schwerin was identified as Hunter Biden's "most significant professional relationship." He reportedly advised Bedingfield on how to persuade a reporter to soften their story about Hunter Biden's business transactions. At the same time, Schwerin was coordinating with a Burisma executive, Hunter Biden, and their other business associate, Devon Archer, as indicated by private emails found on Hunter Biden's laptop.

The inclusion of Mackler in private discussions about Hunter Biden's work with Burisma in 2015 is significant, given that he later joined a prosecutorial team investigating Hunter Biden. The criminal investigation, overseen by US Attorney General David Weiss, began at the IRS in 2015 and delved into the specifics of how Hunter Biden and his business associates received millions of dollars from Burisma starting in 2014.

It remains unclear whether Mackler recused himself from the Hunter Biden case before leaving Weiss' office in May 2019. Emails discovered on Hunter Biden's abandoned laptop suggest that Mackler maintained a close friendship with Hunter Biden, frequently keeping in touch with him.

The timing of the 2015 emails is noteworthy, as Joe Biden, who has consistently denied any knowledge of his son's foreign business dealings, was visiting Ukraine for high-profile discussions with Ukrainian leaders at the time. Despite Joe Biden still serving in the Vice President's office, Hunter Biden and Mackler maintained personal contact. For example, in November 2015, Mackler reached out to Hunter Biden for his thoughts on Joe Biden's post-vice presidency plans.

According to the Washington Examiner, Hunter Biden was in Dubai, meeting with Burisma officials in early December 2015, when emails were being exchanged on how to manage negative press coverage concerning Hunter Biden and Burisma.
