WATCH: Biden Creates Media Circus After This Comment

President Biden, during his recent visit to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, clarified to reporters that his trip was not a vacation, but rather a necessity due to the lack of a home to return to at present.

The President, who owns two properties in Delaware and resides in the White House, typically spends his weekends in his home state. However, he revealed that his primary residence in Wilmington, Delaware, is currently undergoing security enhancements by the U.S. Secret Service, leaving him without a place to stay in the state.

"I have no home to go to," Biden candidly shared with the press. He further explained that his Wilmington residence is being made more secure "in a good way," and as a result, he hasn't spent a night there in several months.

The President's only option for accommodation in Delaware at the moment is his property in Rehoboth Beach. "So I have no place to go when I come to Delaware, except here, right now," he stated. "I'm only here for one day."

Biden had initially informed reporters about the security upgrades at his Wilmington home in April, following a trip to his beach house after a visit to Ireland. His arrival at the Delaware coast on Saturday night was after a stop in Florida to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Idalia. Although he had planned to spend the Labor Day weekend at his Rehoboth Beach home, the aftermath of the recent storm necessitated a change in his plans.

Despite the President's clarification, his frequent weekend trips away from the White House have drawn criticism from the Republican National Committee and GOP lawmakers. This criticism comes even as the First Family recently spent a week vacationing in Nevada's Lake Tahoe region.

When asked by reporters if he was implying homelessness, Biden responded, "No, I'm not homeless. I just have one home. I have a beautiful home. I'm down here for the day because I can't go home home."
