According to Fox News, an associate of Hunter Biden has praised Chinese companies for coming into the United States to purchase American companies.
He referenced a Washington Post op-ed that defended the Chinese for deciding to scoop up American companies. This news is from an e-mail on the infamous Hunter Biden laptop. Fox News Digital has found and verified that the e-mail is authentic.
Eric Scherwin sent James Bulger and Hunter Biden an e-mail in April 2016 that contained the Washington Post op-ed piece. James Bulger replied to the e-mail and said the Washington Post piece was damn good. He also thanked Scherwin for sending it.
Bulger and Scherwin are both close associates of Hunter Biden, and they have played a role in some of the business decisions that Hunter Biden has made, particularly those related to China. This information is based on other e-mails found within the Hunter Biden laptop and verified by Fox News.
The piece was titled The Chinese want to buy more American companies and we should let them and passed around various people within Hunter Bidens inner circle. The author, Zachary Karabell, seems to completely defend the concept of Chinese companies purchasing American assets at will. It does not seem that Hunter Biden commented on the piece among his friends in any way.
Karabell wrote:
Suspicion of Chinese motives is hardly new. After all, blaming China for Americas economic ills has been a theme of the past three presidential elections.
Adding:
But within the U.S. government and business community, theres [intensifying] concern ranging from wrong but reasonable to paranoid and hysterical that Chinas drive to invest in the United States is not benign.
Hunters business relationship with Bulger goes back more than a decade and has included hundreds of e-mail exchanges between the two. It is a close tie based on the e-mails found on Hunter Bidens laptop. Thus, even though Hunter might not have commented on this specific article, it is evident that Hunter and Bulger have a close business relationship and may share some of the same points of view about China. Observers infer that Hunter receives information from Bulger that might influence how he sees the world around him.
