An AI-generated version of Seinfeld called Nothing Forever was released to the public in mid-December.
It followed four characters named Kakler, Larry, Fred, and Yvonne. After its release, the show continued to stream on Twitch 24/7. However, now the show is banned because of what happened.
Xander, one of the shows creators, said they are appealing the ban. According to Fox News, Hey everybody. Heres the latest: we received a 14-day suspension due to what Larry Feinberg said tonight during a club bit, Xander reportedly said. Weve appealed the ban, and well let you know as we know more about what Twitch decides. Regardless of the outcome of the appeal, well be back and will spend the time working to ensure to the best of our abilities that nothing like that happens again.
No one has specified what caused the ban. However, many think its because of Larrys comments during a stand-up comedy routine. They are considered transphobic, and, more than likely, quite a few people were offended.
During the routine, Larry says that he notices no one is laughing and says hes thinking of doing a few bits about transgender being a mental illness or that liberals are all gay. Larry then made a statement about perhaps including that transgender people are ruining the fabric of society.
The shows staff have called it technical issues with the AI. Twitch says it violated community standards and guidelines. Some people were in disbelief that an AI could be offensive to people.
According to Fox News, Washington Examiner contributor Harry Khachatrian joked, the AI must have watched that Kramer bit from 2006. Imagine how sensitive you have to be to get offended by an AI. The show is banned from Twitch for at least 14 days for violating the policies, and they have yet to announce when it will be re-instated.
