RFK Jr. Has A Solution To The "Is Biden Fit For Office" Debate

Democratic presidential primary candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is calling for a debate with President Joe Biden, suggesting that such a debate would put to rest any concerns about Biden's fitness to serve.

Kennedy took to X to make his proposal, stating, "President Biden could put to rest any concerns about his fitness for office by engaging me in a vigorous, issues-oriented debate. Let's end the speculation and let the voters see for themselves." Kennedy also encouraged his supporters to use the hashtag #BidenDebateKennedy if they agreed with his call for a debate.

Marianne Williamson, another candidate in the Democratic presidential primary, responded to Kennedy's proposal, saying, "Whoah Bobby. Debate 'us'." This indicates that Williamson is also interested in participating in a debate with Biden.

While Biden has been leading in the polls against Kennedy and Williamson, his challengers believe that a primary debate would be an opportunity to showcase their own ideas and qualifications. However, it is worth noting that incumbent presidents from both parties have historically not engaged in primary debates, making such a debate abnormal.

On the Republican side, the GOP is holding presidential primary debates. However, former President Donald Trump, who currently holds a significant lead over other Republican presidential hopefuls, has chosen not to participate. Trump skipped the first GOP primary debate of the 2024 election cycle, which featured eight GOP candidates and took place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

With Biden and Trump both enjoying substantial leads in their respective parties' primaries, it seems likely that Americans will witness a rematch between the two in the 2024 election.
