Former President Donald Trump announced on social media that he will surrender himself to Fulton County Jail on Thursday to face charges filed by District Attorney Fani Willis.

Trump made the statement on his official account on the Truth Social platform.

In his post, Trump expressed disbelief at the situation, stating, "Can you believe it? I'll be going to Atlanta, Georgia, on Thursday to be ARRESTED by a Radical Left District Attorney, Fani Willis, who is overseeing one of the greatest Murder and Violent Crime DISASTERS in American History." He went on to clarify that his visit to Atlanta is not related to murder but rather to what he referred to as a "perfect phone call." Trump accused Willis of using the case as a political tool, claiming that she is coordinating with President Joe Biden's Department of Justice and that the charges are all about election interference.

According to the indictment filed on August 14, Trump is accused of participating in a conspiracy to unlawfully change the outcome of the election in his favor. The former president, along with former NYC Mayor Rudy Giuliani and 17 other co-defendants, will be arraigned at the jail. Trump's attorneys have agreed to a $200,000 bond in the case.

Fulton County Sheriff Pat Labat previously stated that Trump would have a "mug shot" taken as part of the arrest process. Labat made it clear that regardless of Trump's status, the standard procedures would be followed.

These charges in Georgia mark the fourth set of indictments against Trump. He is also facing federal charges related to the alleged effort to overturn the 2020 presidential election, federal charges related to classified documents found in his possession, and a New York state case related to hush money paid to Stormy Daniels. In total, Trump is facing 91 charges across all four cases.
