Why Are They Doing This To Our Classic Movies? Another WOKE Disney Remake On The Way

Rachel Zegler, the lead actress in the upcoming live-action remake of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," has once again sparked controversy with her comments about the highly anticipated Disney film.

Zegler, who plays the titular character, took aim at the original animated film's portrayal of Prince Charming, calling him a "stalker."

Speaking about the 1937 classic during a promotional event for the remake, Zegler expressed her dissatisfaction with the love story between Snow White and Prince Charming. "There's a big focus on her love story with a guy who literally stalks her. Weird. Weird. So we didn't do that this time," she stated.

The 22-year-old actress emphasized that the new film takes a different approach to the love story, challenging the assumption that it would follow the traditional narrative.

Zegler even suggested that all of her male co-star's scenes could be cut from the film, further distancing the remake from the original. Andrew Burnap portrays Prince Charming in the new adaptation.

This is not the first time Zegler has made controversial remarks about the remake. In a previous interview, she laughed off the idea of Snow White being saved by a prince and dreaming about true love. Instead, Zegler highlighted the character's journey towards becoming a fearless and fair leader, a story she believes young people can relate to.

The actress has also addressed accusations that the remake is trying to be "woke" or politically correct. Zegler defended the decision to update the story, stating, "Its an 85-year-old cartoon, and our version is a refreshing story about a young woman who has a function beyond 'Someday My Prince Will Come.'"

Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen in the film, echoed Zegler's sentiments, emphasizing that Snow White will not be saved by the prince and will be the proactive one in the story. Gadot believes this makes the remake relevant to the current times.

Despite the anticipation surrounding the release of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs," the film has faced its fair share of controversies.

The Walt Disney Company found itself embroiled in a controversy when leaked photos of the dwarfs from the production were initially dismissed as fake. The casting of a Hispanic actress, Zegler, in the role of Snow White, a character from a German fairy tale, also drew criticism.

In addition to these controversies, Disney has been facing financial challenges at the box office. An analysis revealed that the company has lost nearly $900 million in recent movies. The success or failure of "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" will undoubtedly have an impact on Disney's future endeavors.
