Green Party Candidate Dr. Cornel West Challenges Biden's Treatment Of Black Community, Calls For Transformative Politics

Green Party presidential candidate Dr. Cornel West emphasized the seriousness of his third-party bid and reiterated his criticism of President Biden's treatment of the Black community during an interview with Fox News on Monday.

West acknowledged that former President Trump also fell short in championing minority rights but focused his criticism on Biden's past associations with segregationist Democratic senators. Specifically, West highlighted Biden's praise for former Mississippi Sen. John Stennis, whom Biden referred to as "a hell of a guy" in 2008. West also mentioned Biden's positive recollections of working with James Eastland and Herman Talmadge, both of whom supported segregation.

In response to these remarks, West accused Biden of "crimes against humanity" against African Americans. He argued that both Trump and Biden have flaws when it comes to racial issues and that both parties are entangled with "big money" and corruption.

West drew attention to Trump's father's reported ties to the Ku Klux Klan, as documented in a 1927 New York Times report. However, he clarified that his criticism was directed at Trump himself, not his father. West also criticized the handling of the White House cocaine incident, suggesting that a West administration would not receive the same expedited resolution if drugs were found there.

When discussing his own presidential aspirations, West outlined his vision for a West administration, emphasizing his commitment to eradicating poverty, homelessness, and unemployment. He stressed the importance of equal protection for all individuals, including Hunter Biden, while acknowledging the need for constructive criticism.

Throughout the interview, West highlighted the flaws and shortcomings of both Trump and Biden, underscoring his belief that the Democratic Party, like the Republican Party, is plagued by systemic issues. He called for a transformative approach to politics that prioritizes the well-being and equality of all Americans.

West's third-party bid for the presidency reflects his determination to address the concerns of marginalized communities and challenge the status quo. While his candidacy may face significant obstacles, West remains steadfast in his commitment to advocating for social justice and equality.
