Elon Musk's Gives His Two Cents On "Feminist Therapists" To Disgruntled Twitter User

Elon Musk has responded to a woman's tweet about her experience with a feminist therapist, expressing his concerns about the therapy industry.

Chandler Remington, the woman in question, shared her dissatisfaction with the therapist, stating that the therapist had made negative generalizations about men and blamed "the patriarchy" for issues that were unrelated to gender dynamics.

Remington tweeted, "Based on all of the above (and much more), I'm starting therapy with a new, *male* therapist on Monday. Wish me luck." This prompted Musk to weigh in on the topic, suggesting that therapists have an incentive to keep patients coming back for more sessions.

"Friends are far better than therapy. The incentive structure is to keep you hooked, never 'cured'. Be especially wary of therapists in expensive neighborhoods their true loyalty is to their landlord, not you," Musk tweeted.

Remington expressed her gratitude to Musk for his comment, to which he responded with further insight. Musk emphasized the importance of clear communication between friends, stating that it is crucial to specify whether one seeks support or a solution to a problem. He noted that men often assume the latter, which may involve delivering uncomfortable truths.

"You're welcome. Friends need to know whether you simply want to feel supported or actually to solve a problem (men often assume the latter), which may entail painful words, so best to tell them explicitly," Musk tweeted.

Remington acknowledged the significance of Musk's point, highlighting the frequent misunderstanding between men and women when it comes to offering solutions. She suggested that if women allowed men more leeway in their attempts to be helpful, there could be improved communication between the sexes.

"This is an important distinction. I think women frequently misunderstand that men are trying to be helpful when they offer solutions, and overall, if women gave men a bit more leeway, there might be better communication between the sexes," Remington replied.
