A 4-year-old girl is dead in west Houston after her mother allegedly opened fire inside a Memorial-area townhome Tuesday evening before turning the gun on herself.
According to The Gateway Pundit, Houston Police responded around 5:45 p.m. to the 300 block of Terra Reserve Place, where they discovered the child deceased from a gunshot wound and her 30-year-old mother critically injured from a self-inflicted shot to the face. Authorities say the woman was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive, where she remains under medical care.
Local outlet FOX 26 Houston reported that a custody hearing involving the childs father had taken place earlier that same morning. Investigators believe the mother lost custody and then snapped, turning a legal dispute into a deadly act of violence.
