President Donald J.
Trump sharply rebuked NBCs Kristen Welker on Sunday, accusing the Meet the Fake Press moderator of deliberately misrepresenting his dominant endorsement record in the midterm cycle.
According to the Gateway Pundit, the clash erupted after Welker, during a pre-show segment on NBCs Washington affiliate WRC-TV, claimed the President has had mixed results with his endorsements, despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary. Citing a Fox News endorsement tracker, the outlet noted that all 24 Trump-backed Senate candidates prevailed in their Republican primaries, while Trump-endorsed House candidates won 214 of 218 races, an extraordinary success rate of roughly 98%.
Welker conceded that Trump continues to loom[] large over the midterms, but immediately tried to dilute that reality by asserting, Hes had some mixed results, but most recently, his pick of Senator Darline Graham was successful. Her remarks did not even air on the main Meet the Press broadcast, instead appearing in a local pre-show hit, underscoring how casually the corporate media now treats factual accuracy when discussing Trumps political strength.
President Trump responded with a lengthy Truth Social post, blasting Welkers characterization and highlighting the hard numbers behind his endorsements. Kristen Welker, the Unpopular Hostess of the once great Meet the Press, now considered Meet the Fake Press, just stated that Donald Trump has mixed results on his Endorsements of Candidates, when the recent WINS of Darline Graham and Mike Mazzei, stand at 100% for the U.S. Senate, and 98% for the U.S. House, recently and over the longterm, he wrote.
The President went further, questioning why such distortions are tolerated on publicly licensed airwaves and signaling he intends to pursue accountability. How can anyone be allowed to say this, working for freely given Public Airwaves? Results are attached. Because of this purposeful inaccuracy, she will be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment.
Trump framed Welkers comments as part of a broader, coordinated media campaign to delegitimize his influence and smear his supporters. Unfortunately, she is not the only one. The Radical Left News is going out of their way to harass, demean, and libel anything TRUMP.
He emphasized that his endorsement record is not merely strong, but historically unmatched, and that the medias refusal to acknowledge it is intentional. Their new weapon is to say that my 99% SUCCESS Rate on Endorsements, 100% on Senatorial Endorsements (Many of whom were not even given a shot of winning until I Endorsed!), is either a mixed result, or not very good. In actuality, it is, without question, the strongest Endorsement in the History of Politics.
Trump pointed to specific races the press largely ignored once his backing turned underdogs into clear winners, highlighting how narrative often trumps news in legacy outlets. If it were not, I would be the first to admit it. Darline Grahams run for the Senate was the biggest story in all of Politics, because she wasnt expected to win, and then, when I Endorsed her, and she easily won, the story of her Victory was hardly covered by anybody.
He drew a similar contrast in Oklahoma, where his support helped propel a gubernatorial candidate from trailing in the polls to victory, only for the media to downplay the outcome. Likewise, the future Governor of Oklahoma, who was behind in every Poll, I Endorsed him, he won, and the story was barely covered! The Press is a Disgrace to our Nation, and I hope that Chairman Brendan Carr, and the fine people of his Commission, will take this Threat to our Country very seriously.
Trump closed his statement by underscoring the stakes of media manipulation for the health of the republic and the integrity of elections. Thank you for your attention to this very important matter of Fake Polls and Commentary!
NBC, rather than addressing the factual dispute, rushed to defend its anchor and dismiss Trumps concerns. Kristen is one of the best in the business and we stand by her, an NBC spokesperson told Fox News.
For years, establishment outlets insisted that Trumps hold on Republican voters had evaporated, only to watch his endorsed candidates dominate primary after primary. Now, with his picks winning virtually every major congressional contest, NBC still brands the results as mixed, a narrative so detached from reality that, as conservatives often note, you simply cannot make this up.
