It is still amazing to think that leftists managed to bump Republican Spencer Pratt off the ballot, leaving voters with the choices of far left or super far left, a development that effectively shut out any serious challenge to the citys entrenched progressive machine.
The stakes are high in a city that is not only home to Hollywood but also one of the nations most important economic engines. Yet Los Angeles has been battered by wildfires, soaring living costs, rampant homelessness, and a steady exodus of residents, all under the watch of liberal leadership that has expanded government while failing to deliver basic order and safety.
As reported by FOX News, the latest mayoral debate only deepened public frustration, with one voter describing the spectacle as disgraceful. With Pratt forced out of the race, Bass and Raman traded personal attacks and insults, leaving many wondering whether either candidate is capable of reversing the citys decline rather than simply managing it.
After the debate, voter Stacey Segarra Bohlinger told Fox News Digital she believes Bass and Raman are both bad and said, I wish they could both lose. Bohlinger, who until July served as a committee member on the Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council, added that although she was initially a huge champion for Raman, I dont see substantive differences between the two of them.
Meanwhile, Wayne Spindler, an Encino resident and regular City Hall critic, told Fox News Digital that a lot of people are upset. They dont like either one of them. And a lot of them are going to walk out of this [debate] and not vote, he said, underscoring the sense of resignation among voters who feel trapped by one-party rule.
