Al Greens Latest Impeachment Gambit Targets Trumps Vicious Border Forces

Rep. Al Green, D-Texas, has once again moved to impeach President Donald Trump, filing new articles of impeachment that revive long-standing partisan efforts to remove him from office.

According to Just The News, Greens latest resolution accuses the president of high crimes and misdemeanors and labels him a threat to democracy and the Constitution. The measure reflects a continued strategy by House Democrats to weaponize impeachment as a political tool rather than a constitutional last resort.

The resolution charges that Trump has operated Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) as his vicious, quota-driven, unaccountable paramilitary police forces, transgressing with anonymity and secrecy, assaulting people, committing and covering up unjustified killings of civilians...with impunity. It further cites the deaths of Rene Good, Alex Pretti, and others allegedly killed by ICE agents over the past year as justification for the drastic step.

Green has made similar attempts before, having introduced articles of impeachment against Trump multiple times, including as recently as June 2025, but those efforts failed to gain traction in the House, The Hill reported. His renewed push underscores a broader divide in Washington, where many on the left seek to dismantle or discredit federal immigration enforcement while conservatives argue these agencies are essential to national sovereignty and the rule of law.
