Hillary Clinton is reportedly laying the groundwork for an elaborate state-style farewell for her husband, 80-year-old former President Bill Clinton, as speculation intensifies over his declining health and political legacy.
According to the Gateway Pundit, the planning reportedly includes a full-scale memorial service at Washington National Cathedral in Washington, D.C., followed by interment at or near the William J. Clinton Presidential Library and Museum in Little Rock, Arkansas. RadarOnline, citing unnamed insiders, further claimed that Hillary, now 78, has begun coordinating the details while Bill is said to be reviewing his estate and considering revisions to a will reportedly worth $120 million.
One presidential historian quoted by Radar suggested that Clinton might even seek burial near the librarys rooftop garden, described as one of his favorite personal retreats. A Washington National Cathedral spokesperson, however, stressed that all living former presidents have state funeral plans under development, underscoring that such arrangements are standard practice and not, by themselves, proof of an immediate medical emergency.
Even so, the renewed focus on funeral logistics comes as Clinton moves deeper into his ninth decade after years of serious health issues and increasingly frail public appearances. Clinton turned 80 on August 19 and has continued to show up at high-profile events, including the Obama Presidential Center dedication in June, though even the liberal-leaning People magazine conceded that the Democrat has appeared more visibly frail in recent years.
As the Gateway Pundit previously reported, Clinton appeared unsteady during a June 2025 book-signing event, at one point grabbing a pole to stabilize himself as he approached the building. Just two months later, the outlet reported that members of his entourage were spotted carrying a Propaq MD medical bag equipped with a portable patient monitor and defibrillator as Bill and Hillary departed the Hamptons.
That sighting fueled renewed questions about the former presidents cardiac health, which has been a matter of public concern for two decades. Clinton underwent quadruple-bypass surgery in 2004 after doctors discovered significant arterial blockages, then required surgery for a partially collapsed lung in 2005 and received two coronary stents in 2010.
His medical challenges have not been limited to heart and lung issues. In October 2021, Clinton spent nearly a week at UC Irvine Medical Center after a urinary tract infection spread to his bloodstream, and in December 2024 he was admitted to MedStar Georgetown University Hospital with a fever before being released the next day following treatment for the flu, as the Gateway Pundit reported.
Radar further claimed that Clinton may have altered his reported $120 million will and that there could be surprises concerning its beneficiaries. For a political family long associated with influence, wealth, and controversyand now operating in the shadow of President Trumps second administrationany such surprises in Clintons estate planning are likely to draw intense scrutiny from both allies and critics as the Clintons prepare for the inevitable.
