The Biden-era legal and activist campaign to obstruct President Donald Trumps security upgrades at the White House has now escalated into an emergency fight at the U.S. Supreme Court.
According to RedState, the Department of Justice submitted an emergency appeal asking the high court to overturn a lower court ruling that abruptly halted construction of a new East Wing ballroom complex at the White House. In its filing, the DOJ stressed that the project is not some vanity undertaking but a critical national security initiative that includes an underground military command facility and a drone port designed to protect the president in an increasingly dangerous world.
U.S. Solicitor General John Sauer, representing the administration, warned that the work must proceed because of mounting threats to the presidents life and the countrys security infrastructure. He cited increased national security threats and a growing number of recent assassination attempts against President Trump as the driving rationale for the emergency request.

National security officials argue that the current White House infrastructure is simply not adequate for the modern threat environment. They maintain that the combination of an underground military complex and secure reception facilities is essential to ensure continuity of command and to shield the president and visiting dignitaries from both conventional and emerging dangers.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio has become one of the most vocal advocates for the project, drawing a sharp contrast between the facilities he sees abroad and the makeshift arrangements currently used in Washington. He noted that he is regularly hosted overseas in grand venues with robust security, while in the United States, we must currently host such visits in plastic or canvas tents on the South Lawn with unsafe and unsanitary portable bathrooms and accommodations unbecoming of our national stature.

The Pentagons top uniformed officer has reached the same conclusion from a purely military standpoint. Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Dan Caine dispensed with diplomatic niceties and stated flatly that there is a valid military requirement for a secure, state-of-the-art facility that provides for the physical protection of the President.

Their opposition has moved well beyond partisan distaste for Donald Trump and into a direct challenge to the security architecture meant to protect both the current and future occupants of the Oval Office.
Attempts by politically motivated left-wing groups to stop this project are no longer just about blocking something that has Donald Trumps name attached to it. They are trying to derail construction of a facility the nations top military officer says is necessary to protect the president, even as DOJ points to a growing number of assassination attempts and threats against him, and that is a breathtaking level of recklessness.
At some point, the obsession with opposing Trump at every turn crosses from political disagreement into something far more dangerous. When your TDS is so bad that you fight the security measures intended to keep the current and future presidents alive, it's time to rethink every bad life choice you ever made.
