Her campaign told Fox News Digital that she does not recall posting in favor of abolishing the Senate in 2021 and insisted that such a position is not her current stance, a claim that conveniently surfaces as voters begin to focus on Novembers elections.
The controversy erupted after Democratic Socialists of America co-chair Megan Romer went viral for openly confirming the groups sweeping agenda during an interview with Shannon Bream on Fox News Sunday. Romer acknowledged that the DSA supported abolishing the Senate, eliminating national borders and prisons, replacing the presidency and the Supreme Court, and morean agenda that aligns with the hard-lefts long-standing hostility toward Americas constitutional framework.
Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Tiffany quickly drew a direct line between Romers comments and Hongs own record. This sounds a lot like DSA-backed @FrancescaHongWI. Does she want to abolish the police? Yep. Does she want to abolish prisons? Absolutely. Did she call for abolishing the U.S. Senate? Yes. Socialism is knocking on Wisconsins door. This November, we slam it shut, Tiffany wrote in a post on X, warning voters about the stakes for law and order and basic constitutional governance.
Hongs campaign responded by accusing Tiffany of dishonesty, flatly asserting that she never supported abolishing the Senate. Yet users on Twitter/X quickly resurfaced Hongs past statements, undercutting her denial and reinforcing the perception that she is now trying to rewrite her own radical history for political convenience.
While liberal media outlets in Wisconsin appear eager to shield Hong from the fallout, the record of her hostility toward ICE, the police, and core American institutions is harder to obscure. For many Wisconsin voters who value secure borders, public safety, and the constitutional separation of powers, Hongs alignment with DSAs extreme platform marks her as another typical DSA radical at a time when the stateand the countrycan least afford it.
