President Donald Trump has moved to dismantle what he describes as a climate fraud operation embedded in the federal judiciarys reference materials, accusing the National Academy of Sciences of peddling politicized manuals that helped fuel sweeping climate lawsuits and regulatory overreach.
According to the Gateway Pundit, President Trump used a Truth Social post to expose the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) for issuing fraudulent, biased, and misleading climate change manuals that federal judges have relied upon in major climate cases. For years, conservative critics have warned that radical environmental activists, activist judges, and entrenched bureaucrats have used questionable science to undermine American energy independence, hobble domestic manufacturing, and ram through what Trump and his supporters call the fraudulent Green New Scam.
Trump declared that these bogus manuals have inflicted huge losses across our Country by skewing judicial decisions in favor of expansive climate litigation. In response, he announced that he is directing Federal Suspension and Debarment Officials to investigate the conduct behind these publications, vowing that taxpayers will no longer be funding Climate Fraud, and Judges will never have relied upon it.
In his Truth Social statement, President Trump wrote, The National Academy of Sciences has historically published analytical Scientific Manuals expressly for our Federal Judiciary. Of course, the Academy has been run by Radical Left Dumocrats who, it turns out, published fraudulent, biased, and misleading Manuals on Climate Change.
These bogus Manuals were used by Judges to decide massive Climate Change Cases, and have created huge losses across our Country. These Manuals have been totally DISCREDITED.
Emphasizing that the judiciary must be guided by objective evidence rather than ideological agendas, Trump continued, Our Nations Federal Judges deserve Facts and Science, not Political Fraud and False Science on Climate. He then issued his directive: With this TRUTH, I hereby order Federal Suspension and Debarment Officials to review this conduct. Our Taxpayers should not be funding Climate Fraud, and Judges should never have relied upon it.
The National Academy of Sciences has long been treated as a premier adviser to the federal government on scientific questions, with its reports frequently cited in both policymaking and courtroom battles. That reputation, however, is now under intense scrutiny as the climate chapter at the center of this controversy is revealed to be deeply intertwined with activist legal networks.
As reported by Reuters and cited by the Gateway Pundit, the disputed material appears in the Reference Manual on Scientific Evidence (Fourth Edition), a joint project of the Federal Judicial Center and the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM). The latest editions climate science chapter was authored by individuals linked to Columbia Universitys Sabin Center for Climate Change Law, a hub for aggressive climate litigation targeting energy producers and conservative-led states.
Earlier this year, nearly 30 Republican attorneys general, led by Montanas Austin Knudsen, condemned the chapter as biased and riddled with conflicts of interest, arguing it was crafted to tilt the legal playing field in favor of climate plaintiffs. They noted that the authors maintained deep ties to advocacy groups and were involved in active lawsuits, raising serious ethical and constitutional concerns about using such material as a neutral judicial reference.
Under mounting pressure, the Federal Judicial Center removed the climate chapter from its version of the manual in February, implicitly acknowledging the controversy surrounding its objectivity. NASEM, however, left the chapter online and refused to fully retract it, a decision that has only intensified calls from conservatives for accountability, transparency, and a return to genuine science rather than ideological climate orthodoxy in the federal courts.
