Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, long an outlier in his party, is once again breaking ranks by calling out the far-left fringe that has increasingly defined Democrat politics.
Appearing on FOX News, Fetterman delivered a blunt assessment of the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), a group that has gained influence in progressive circles but remains far outside the American mainstream, according to Gateway Pundit. He argued that the organizations rhetoric and behavior reveal a hostility not only to Israel but to the United States itself, a stance that many grassroots conservatives have warned about for years.
Fetterman did not mince words about the DSAs ideology or its record. These DSA people are deeply anti-Israel, and theyre deeply anti-America, as well, too, he said, pointing to their social media history as evidence of their extremism.
He stressed that the problem is not buried in the past but visible in their recent conduct. And look at the kinds of people that theyve said, look at the things that theyve been forced to delete, Fetterman noted, adding, What theyve said online, and thats not ancient history thing. These are recent things that theyve said and that theyve done.
For Fetterman, the issue is not merely rhetorical excess but a fundamental incompatibility with the Democratic Party label. And its indefensible, and and I dont know why other Democrats, we just cant can collectively say they are not Democrats, he argued, insisting, They can run if they want, but not as a Democrat.
He went further, describing the DSA as a movement that disdains the very nation it seeks to influence. These are extremists, and usually theyre incredibly anti-American and willing to even wipe their mouths with the American flag, Fetterman warned, echoing long-standing conservative concerns about the radical lefts contempt for national symbols.
Fetterman has reinforced these points on Twitter/X, continuing to distance himself from the socialist wing that dominates much of the modern Democrat base. For many on the right, his stance underscores a reality that party leaders refuse to confront: when a Democrat senator is one of the few willing to denounce open extremism, it reveals just how far left the party has drifted.
