Jesse Watters Torches Democrats Big Tent Excuse As Socialist Candidates Surge Nationwide

Democratic Socialists of America candidates are surfacing in races nationwide, and a suddenly anxious media is pressing establishment Democrats to explain how their party opened the door so wide to the far left.

According to Gateway Pundit, the stock answer from Democrat officials is that they are a big tent party, a phrase now deployed as a catch-all excuse rather than a serious explanation. That line may play well in progressive circles, but it sidesteps the deeper concern that the Democrat Party is being steadily captured by open socialists and hard-left activists who are hostile to Israel and, increasingly, to Jewish Americans.

On FOX News The Five, co-host Jesse Watters skewered this narrative, arguing that Democrats only discovered their supposed ideological flexibility once radicals began winning primaries. All of a sudden, the Communists start winning and they say BIG TENT! Democrats dont believe in ANYTHING, except power! Watters declared, capturing the frustration of many voters who see principle sacrificed for raw political gain.

This big tent mantra has quickly become a reflexive talking point, repeated almost word for word by Democrats across the country as if reciting from a script. Theyre all saying the exact same thing, reflexively, as if theyre on auto-pilot, a pattern that suggests message discipline, not genuine diversity of thought.

For conservatives, the spectacle underscores a broader worry: a major American party appears unwilling to draw any moral red lines, even against candidates aligned with anti-Israel and openly socialist movements. Democrats seem to believe that if they repeat big tent often enough, voters will ignore who is actually walking through the flapand they behave as though no one notices this, even as the public grows more alarmed by what their party is becoming.
