President Donald Trump is urging Congress to expel Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD), denouncing the Maryland Democrat as a loser and asserting that he would be in jail right now had President Joe Biden not intervened with a pardon
The demand came in a Truth Social post in which President Trump amplified a message from conservative commentator Mark Levin calling for Raskins removal from the House, according to Mediaite. In that post, President Trump aligned himself with Levins call to EXPEL THE BUM, targeting Raskin for his leading role in the impeachment drive during Trumps first term and broadening his criticism to include Rep. Al Green (D-TX), a longtime antagonist who recently lost his primary.
Jamie Raskin, a Loser in Life, who worked endlessly during my First Term to impeach me, and failed miserably, wasting the Countrys money, time, and effort, will guaranteed be trying to do it again, despite one of the most successful Presidencies in History, Trump wrote, casting Raskin as emblematic of what many conservatives view as a partisan obsession with impeachment. The last one that went after me on Impeachment was a pathetic soul, Al Green, who just lost his race in a landslide to an unknown candidate but, in my opinion, one that had more talent than Raskin.
He spent time on the Unselect Committee of Political Hacks and Thugs, and was rebuffed on that, just as he has been rebuffed on Impeachment, and many other things, Trump continued, invoking the committee that pursued him over January 6. If Biden didnt give him a pardon, hed be in jail right now!
Something should be done about people like this who do bad things, but always come up on the short end because of their illegal or unscrupulous behavior, and hurt our Country in the process, Trump added, framing Raskin and his allies as abusers of power shielded by the current administration. I agree with Mark Levin when he says to, EXPEL THE BUM.
Congress can never be great with people like this, who suffer massively from Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS), casting their vote of HATE! President DONALD J. TRUMP, the statement concluded, underscoring Trumps argument that entrenched anti-Trump partisans are undermining the institution. Biden had previously issued a sweeping preemptive pardon in early 2025 to Raskin and all members and staffers of the House Judiciary Committee, ostensibly to insulate them from any retaliation tied to Trumps second impeachment.
Mediaite reported that President Trump is also pressing ahead with an effort to erase his impeachment through congressional action. House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is said to be open to the expungement push, a move that would further repudiate what many on the right regard as a politically motivated abuse of the impeachment power.
