Childrens YouTube personality Ms.
Rachel, known off-screen as Rachel Griffin Accurso, appeared Monday outside the Delaney Hall Immigration Detention Center in New Jersey to protest the detention of illegal immigrants, turning the facilitys perimeter into a stage for songs with children gathered at the fence.
According to The Post Millennial, Accurso joined New Jersey Democrat Rep. Andy Kim and the New Jersey Alliance for Immigration Justice at the Newark-area site, which Democrats have recently targeted for closure. Delaney Hall has become a flashpoint in the broader left-wing campaign to weaken immigration enforcement, even as border communities and taxpayers shoulder the costs of unchecked illegal entry.
Accurso claimed she met with a 13-year-old girl whose father is detained inside and later published a lengthy Instagram post dramatizing the encounter. It makes no sense that their family has been ripped apart, she wrote, before asking, Why are we traumatizing kids? Her brother has a disability and is nonverbal and cannot walk. They need their dad. I sang to her brother and he did the sign for more many times. I will always stand with these families.
Playing to the emotions of her online following, Accurso continued, I cant say enough wonderful things about the children and families whose loved ones are inside. I cant say enough about how this cruelty is harming and traumatizing precious children who should get to just be kids. I know if you came and played cars and drew with chalk with them and laughed and sang and saw their tears you wouldnt want what is happening to happen.
This is not the first time the influencer has aligned herself with activist efforts to undermine Immigration and Customs Enforcement. In March 2026, she threw her weight behind a campaign to shut down the Dilley Immigration Processing Center in Texas, the nations largest family detention facility, amplifying emotional stories and video calls that NBC eagerly showcased while largely ignoring the rule-of-law concerns and public-safety arguments raised by conservatives who support secure borders and the proper enforcement of immigration statutes.
