Trump's Unblemished Endorsement Record In 2026 Primaries Reinforces His GOP Kingmaker Status

President Donald Trumps endorsement record in the 2026 primary season has so far been flawless, underscoring his continued dominance over the Republican Partys electoral machinery.

According to The Post Millennial, tracking by Fox News shows that all 118 candidates for governor, US House, and US Senate whom President Trump has endorsed this cycle have prevailed in their primaries, a staggering statistic that cements his role as the partys chief kingmaker. Among the most consequential of these victories was Texas Attorney General Ken Paxtons defeat of longtime incumbent Senator John Cornyn in Tuesday nights runoff, a result that signals GOP voters preference for unapologetically conservative fighters over establishment fixtures.

The winning streak extended well beyond Texas, with Trump-backed Ed Gallrein unseating Rep. Thomas Massie in Kentuckys GOP primary, a sign that even sitting Republicans are vulnerable if they fall out of step with the partys populist base. Other notable wins included Vivek Ramaswamy for Governor of Ohio and Bruce Blakeman for Governor of New York, along with Congresswoman Victoria Spartz, Republican challenger Derek Merrin for the US House, and Brandon Herrera in Texas.

President Trumps influence has also reshaped contests in the Deep South, where his preferred candidate in Louisianas GOP Senate primary, Julia Letlow, advanced to a runoff against state Treasurer John Fleming, eliminating incumbent Bill Cassidy. In Georgia, his endorsed candidate Clayton Fuller defeated Democrat Shawn Harris in the special election to fill the vacant seat of Marjorie Taylor Greene, keeping that district firmly in conservative hands.

These electoral gains are unfolding alongside a broader Trump-aligned effort in Republican-led states to redraw congressional maps in ways that reflect conservative priorities and counter years of Democrat-favored gerrymandering. Texas, Tennessee, and Florida are among the states that have already enacted GOP-favoring redistricting plans, bolstering the likelihood that Trump-endorsed candidates will have durable majorities to advance an America First agenda.

Following Paxtons victory, President Trump praised both the winner and his longtime ally Cornyn, writing, "Congratulations to Ken Paxton on such a tremendous win, and to John Cornyn for having run a strong and powerful race but, more importantly, having had a truly great career. John will remain my friend for a long time to come, as we both watch Ken become a fantastic, common sense Senator, one who is respected by all."

He then turned his fire on Paxtons Democrat opponent James Talarico, declaring, "His opponent, Alfred E. Neuman, may be the worst TEXAS candidate I have ever seen. A strong Open Borders advocate, he is WEAK ON CRIME, believes there are 6 genders, is insulting to Jesus Christ, will never support the Military, was a big Mask Wearer until recently, and is a Vegan who dislikes meat, not exactly a good way to be if youre wanting to win an Election in Texas. Jasmine Crockett, a very low IQ individual, who is no relation to the legendary frontiersman, Davy Crockett, would have been a far better choice for the Dumocrats. I will do some nice, big, beautiful rallies for Ken."

With Trumps endorsement record unblemished and redistricting efforts advancing in key states, conservatives are poised to expand their influence in Congress and in statehouses, while Democrats face an energized Republican base that is rallying behind candidates explicitly aligned with President Trumps vision.
