Trump Issues Blunt Three-Step Ultimatum To New Yorks Far-Left MayorAnd Warns Of A Mass Exodus

President Donald Trump may now reside in Florida, but he has made clear he still wants to see New York City restored to its former glory and has blunt advice for its new mayor on how to get there.

As reported by Gateway Pundit, the citys hard-left leadership has accelerated its decline since Zohran Mamdani, a far?left ideologue, captured the mayoralty last November. Crime has surged, much of it driven by illegal aliens, while Mamdani remains ideologically committed to dismantling immigration enforcement and has continued to call for the abolition of ICE.

Mamdani is also advancing a familiar progressive wish list: defunding the police, hiking taxes, and expanding sprawling welfare programs that punish work and reward dependency. He has even moved ahead with a blatantly discriminatory racial equity tax aimed specifically at white neighborhoods, a policy that would inflame division rather than foster unity or prosperity.

All of this upheaval comes as Mamdani marks his first 100 days in office, a period in which most leaders try to reassure residents, not frighten them. Yet President Trump, who has somehow maintained a cordial working relationship with the mayor despite their ideological gulf, told the New York Post that Mamdani must reverse course immediately.

Trumps first prescription is straightforward: stop punishing taxpayers and start making the city competitive again. Gotta lower taxes or everyones leaving. Its very simple, Trump told the Post, warning that New Yorkers will continue to flee if progressive tax-and-spend policies persist.

He also blasted the physical decay of the city, especially in Manhattan, once the polished showcase of American capitalism. Got to clean up the city. The city is looking not good. You got to clean up Manhattan, clean it up, make it sparkle, Trump explained, underscoring how filth and disorder drive away families, tourists, and investment.

On public safety, Trump urged Mamdani to put ideology aside and seek federal assistance to crush crime. And you got to stop crime by calling in the United States government to let us help, Trump said. Those three things.

Other mayors who accepted Trumps help in the past saw major crime plummet, a record that stands in stark contrast to the soft?on?crime experiments of the left. While Mamdani would be wise to heed this advice, New Yorkers must now ask themselves whether a mayor who campaigned on radicalism and racialized taxation has any real intention of listening.
