Two of President Donald Trumps most visible allies on the right, veteran operative Roger Stone and activist Laura Loomer, have turned their long-running alliance into a public brawl, trading deeply personal insults online even as both remain close to the President.
The dispute, which erupted across social media on Tuesday, was first detailed by Mediaite and underscores the increasingly bitter infighting within some corners of the populist conservative movement. According to Mediaite, Stone branded Loomer mentally unstable, while Loomer fired back by calling Stone a complete asshole, a remarkable collapse in relations just five years after Stone publicly mused about fathering her child with his frozen sperm.
The latest clash began when Stone demanded that Loomer denounce former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, a frequent target of Stones ire and a figure many populist conservatives now view with suspicion. Loomer pushed back, writing, Roger I already called this out weeks ago. If you focused on the truth instead of lying about me, when you have know me for almost 15 years, you would know that.
Stone responded by tying his anger to Bannons role in his own legal saga, accusing Loomer of ignoring his pleas to distance herself from the former Breitbart chief. I asked you repeatedly not to appear with him because he perjured himself at my trial and you ignored me, Stone wrote, adding, Your lack of loyalty is stunning Your breath smells of Steves ass.
Loomer, who has built her brand as a fiercely loyal defender of President Trump and a critic of the national security establishment, insisted she had long stood by Stone despite his recent behavior. Roger, I have always been kind and loyal to you. Even though you behave like a complete asshole to me these days, I have exercised restraint with you compared to others who I would have unleashed on, she wrote, before adding, Thats because I care about you and love you, but wow you have been a real ass to me over my valid concern about ODNI. I am very disturbed by [Joe] Kent.
Stone escalated further in subsequent posts, boasting about his attacks on Loomer and questioning her mental health and finances. I enjoy kicking the sh*t out of her, he declared, later adding, I made her and I can break her. Shes mentally unstable. Needs psychiatric help, and warning, And thats even before the IRS starts digging into where her money is coming from.
Their feud had already flared a day earlier, when Stone accused Loomer of favoring foreign intelligence services over American agencies, a loaded charge in nationalist circles. After Loomer said she was sad to see Stone entertain Woke Reich poison, Stone snapped back, No Laura, you read the room. People are sick of your neocon horsesh*t.
The spectacle is striking given how central both figures are to President Trumps political orbit in his second administration, with Stone widely regarded as his longest-serving political adviser and Loomer now counted among his closest confidants. Reports last month indicated Loomer was one of the first people the President called after ordering a strike against Iran, and last year he dismissed several national security officials in moves that appeared to track with her hardline advice.
Only a short time ago, the pair were so close that Stone publicly floated the idea of Loomer bearing his child as part of what he framed as a generational fight for the conservative freedom movement. Since I dont have a biological heir and because the freedom movement needs future warriors I am going to freeze some of my sperm in case Laura Loomer decides to bear my child sometime in the future, Stone wrote in a 2021 social media post, a declaration that now reads less like a pledge of solidarity and more like a relic from a fractured alliance at the heart of Trump-era populism.
