Megan Rapinoes Furious Response To IOC Bombshell Lights Up The Left

A new International Olympic Committee policy will bar biological males from competing in womens events beginning with the 2028 Summer Games in Los Angeles, restoring a clear separation between mens and womens categories that many see as simple common sense.

According to the Daily Caller, the IOCs decision will require male athletes to remain in the mens division while women compete exclusively in the womens division, a move that aligns with long-standing principles of fairness in womens sports. Yet this effort to protect female athletes has drawn fierce criticism from some on the left, who continue to prioritize radical gender ideology over biological reality and competitive integrity.

Among the loudest critics is outspoken activist and retired soccer star Megan Rapinoe, who used a recent episode of the A Touch More podcast to denounce the IOCs move. Unfortunately, we have to say that all in the same breath as a really horrible rule came out from the International Olympic Committee, said Rapinoe while praising the transgender community, per OutKick.

Rapinoe went on to attack the IOCs framing of the policy, insisting it has nothing to do with safeguarding womens sports despite decades of evidence about biological differences between the sexes. They announced a new policy that theyre calling, I cant even believe that theyre calling it this because it has nothing to do with protecting women, I feel like two people, who played at the very highest level for every competition that you possibly could, dont agree with this and never felt like this was an issue at all, The Protection of the Female [Womens] Category.

While progressive activists portray basic sex-based categories as bigotry, many parents, athletes, and coaches see the IOCs stance as a long-overdue reaffirmation of fairness and safety for women. As the 2028 Olympics approach, the debate will likely intensify, but the central question remains whether international sport will stand by objective standards or continue bending to ideological pressure at the expense of female competitors.
