Watch: Historic Iron Beam Footage Allegedly Shows Israel Vaporizing Hezbollah Drone In First-Ever Combat Test

Footage circulating online appears to show Israels long-awaited Iron Beam laser air-defense system engaging Hezbollah rockets and drones launched from southern Lebanon, signaling a potential turning point in modern warfare.

According to the Gateway Pundit, the viral video, first shared by Israel War Room on X, allegedly captures the high-energy laser intercepting and destroying an incoming Hezbollah drone along Israels northern border. If verified by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), it would represent the first known combat use of Iron Beam since its delivery to the Israeli Air Force in late December 2025.

The system has been in development for more than a decade, following its initial unveiling in 2014, and officially entered operational service on December 28, 2025, after extensive live-fire trials against rockets, mortars, and UAVs over southern Israel. Israel War Room hailed the reported engagement as a watershed moment, writing on X: HISTORIC: For the first time ever, Israel used the Iron Beam to intercept rockets fired by Hezbollah.

Developed by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems in partnership with Elbit Systems, Iron Beam is designed to transform counter-rocket, artillery, mortar (C-RAM), and UAV defense by offering a cost-effective, rapid-response shield against mass attacks. Unlike traditional kinetic systems such as Iron Dome, the laser platform neutralizes threats at the speed of light by superheating and destroying their structural components in mid-flight.

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee amplified the footage, praising both Israels resilience and its technological edge in the face of Iranian-backed aggression. Hezbollah gives IDF an opportunity to successfully test their new laser Iron Beam technology. Been in shelter twice in last hour. Grateful for Israeli innovation this morning, he wrote, underscoring how advanced defensive systems can help free societies confront terror without surrendering their security or sovereignty.
