FBI Director Kash Patel is pushing back against a wave of media and left-wing criticism after he was filmed celebrating in the locker room with Team USAs Mens Hockey team following their dramatic gold medal victory over Canada.
According to Breitbart, Patel addressed the uproar in a post on X, where he said he was extremely humbled when Team USAs Mens Hockey team invited him into the locker room to mark their championship win. He elaborated, For the very concerned media yes, I love America and was extremely humbled when my friends, the newly minted Gold Medal winners on Team USA, invited me into the locker room to celebrate this historic moment with the boys, adding, Greatest country on earth and greatest sport on earth.
Video circulating on social media shows Patel celebrating enthusiastically with the players, at one point chugging what appears to be a beer before shaking it in the air. In the same footage, he can be seen pounding a table with his free hand as another team member places a gold medal around his neck.
The clip was posted on X by ProPublica reporter William Turton, who claimed that a source sent him the image, prompting a predictable pile-on from progressive commentators. MSNBC contributor Mehdi Hasan fumed, You can only imagine the reaction from the GOP and Fox if this was a FBI director under Obama or Biden, and demanded, What is he doing there? At taxpayer expense??
